Disney on Ice

Today was Elena's field trip to Disney on Ice. The entire class has been so excited about this. They have been counting down the days.
It was super cute. Not one kid leaned back in their seat the entire time. The loved it. We had great seats. We were only like 10 rows up. Most of these kids had never been to Disney World before so this was just the taste they needed. As soon as the show was over, my daughter turns to me and says "I am ready to go back to Disney World!". She loved it. All of the parents sent money for the kids to buy souvenirs so each kid ended up with a twirly minnie or plastic light up sword.

Landon's First Haircut

So we decided that the kids needed haircuts this weekend. Barrett and I took the kids to The Looking Glass on Saturday to get haircuts. Elena's ends needed to be cut off so her hair will grow and Landon's hair was starting to curl out on the ends it was getting so long. Elena went first so Landon could watch her. Next was his turn. He sat like such a big boy during the whole thing. He held my hands during the whole thing. He was nervous as all get out. He had a death grip on that little sucker of his. And this is his after. He was posing so I could show it off. He was so proud of it.

Easter 2010

Yesterday was Easter Sunday. It was a beautiful day. We had gorgeous weather and great people to spend our day with. We woke up early to the Easter baskets from the bunny. Then we got dressed and headed to Aunt Cathy & Uncle EJ's house for Easter Sunday. Everyone brought food over to eat and BBQ. The kids spent all day riding horses, bikes, golf carts or just doing whatever they could think of to have fun. Uncle EJ picked up a little pony for the kids to ride. They all took turns riding it with Drak leading them around. After all of the kids had a turn, Katie decided to get on. This was a little pony and it looked a little awkward seeing Katie on it. Then Drak decided to go for a ride and I sure wish I had my video out for that one. Noone was leading him and the horse didn't have a bridle on. After about a minute of Drak riding, the horse bucked him right off. So freaking funny!!!! He probably didn't think so but it was awful funny to watch. After lunch (which there was way too much of) some of the adults hid the easter eggs to officially begin the hunt. They spread them all over Aunt Cathy's yard from one end to the other. We had over 400 eggs to hide and find. Once they were all done, the kids lined up and took off. It took Landon a little while to get going but once he did, he was having fun. Elena knew what to do but she was avoiding all of the boiled eggs and only going for the filled eggs (I think this was Barrett's idea). All of the kids looked so cute hunting eggs. After they were finished, they all spread out on the grass and shared candy. Landon kept trading everyone for something better.
After we were all pooped out and finished with Easter, we headed home. The kids went to grandma and grandpa's house for the night. Barrett and I had a date. We had tickets to see Wicked the Musical. This was truly a great performance. Next time this comes to town, I would love to see it again.

Easter Morning

I think Easter is our kids favorite holiday. Both of our kids love candy. They woke up to baskets full of toys and candy. They loved that mommy and daddy let them eat candy for breakfast.

Dying Easter Eggs

Krissy, the kids and Katie came over Saturday afternoon to dye Easter Eggs. The kids basically dyed a few eggs and then jetted off to play. Krissy and Katie dyed the majority of the eggs. Landon just ate and got into trouble.
