Another crazy weekend!

Saturday we went to the four-wheeler store in Gulfport because of course Barrett has fever for a new bike. We took our kids and little Anthony with us. We figured he would really like to play on all of the bikes. We stopped at the beach on the way to watch some people windsurf. Elena and Anthony really liked that. They loved running in the wet sand with their toes. They got to play on all of the bikes at the shop. After that we met moma, daddy and aunt Trina at Hooter's for lunch. The kids didn't eat very good because they spent the whole time watching television. They slept the whole way home. After nap, we went to grandmaw and grandpaw's house. They bought a bunch of kites and the kids played in the yard flying kites until dark. They were running around having a ball. Ashleigh was the best though. She would clap for everyone and everything. She was loving it. Sunday we spent the day relaxing at moma's. Aunt Cathy came by that afternoon and picked up crawfish for everyone. So everybody came over and ate some crawfish. The kids played until bathtime. They ALWAYS have so much fun over there.
Barrett didn't come because he had tickets to the Hornets game against the Spurs. His boss has floor seats on the court so he went with one of the guys from his work. Barrett was sitting only a few seats over from Eva Longoria. He actually got his picture taken with her. He was so excited. She looks like a little tiny thing next to him.
Overall, we had a good weekend. My favorite weekends are weekends like this; where we can just relax and sit around the house.

Busy Weekend

Well this was definitely a busy weekend. Saturday was Hailey's 7th Birthday. We started out the day by going to have an early lunch at Osaka for her birthday. We had fun. The kids always eat so good there. Ashleigh ate from the moment we sat down until well after everyone else was finished. After that we went to the Plant show in Covington. It was okay this year. Nothing to exciting. The kids got to decorate pots and then they got to plant a flower in it. They loved doing that. The people also gave them a birdhouse to take home and decorate. Elena loved doing that when we got home. We now have a hot pink, blue, white, and neon orange birdhouse with blue glitter all over it.
Sunday wasn't any slower. Hailey and Lane had a double birthday party on Sunday at the Bounce House in Mandeville. The kids have so much fun there. Barrett always asks "don't you guys get tired of having parties there". The answer is no because the kids have so much fun. They play the entire time we are there. After the party, the kids crashed on the way home. We put them in bed for nap and as soon as they woke up, they were off to grandma & grandpa's house. Barrett and I had tickets to see Larry the Cable Guy last night. We met some friends for dinner at Bonefish Grill (delicious, by the way) and then we went to the show. The show was really good if you like his comedy.
It was a good weekend. We had a lot of fun. We always love these busy weekends. I don't have the camera from the party with me so I will try to post those pics later. These are pictures from the kids at the Plant Show, though.

The Warehouse Sale

Ok. Where to start with this one. Kelly's Kids is a children's clothing manufacturer based in Natchez, MS. They have high end children's clothing. Well, Krissy and I, (thanks to Aunt Trina's bright idea) decided we should go to their warehouse wipeout sale. They were running a sale in their main warehouse and all items would be only $2.99. I originally wanted to get to the sale around 6am but Krissy thought we should get there earlier. Thank goodness we did. We left the house at 1:30am and got to the warehouse at 4:00. I know, way to early for a sale that starts at 9:00am, right? WRONG!! When we got there we had about 20 people already camped out in the line in front of us. By 6 there were hundreds behind us already. By 9, at least a thousand people were behind us. We knew then that this would be madness. The doors opened at 9 exactly. They brought as many people into the warehouse that they could and had guards blocking the way to the sale. Then they gave the rules, no running, pushing, fighting, etc. Then the guards moved and it was every woman for herself. By the time you ripped items off of one rack, the next rack was empty. Thank goodness we were there early. Krissy and I ended up with a boatload of clothes. Everyone after us just kind of walked around like vultures hoping to get some scraps. We discarded probably half of what we picked up because we had duplicates or the wrong sizes and we still ended up with about 50 pieces each. They are all mostly off season pieces but they will definitely be a good base to their fall wardrobe. We definitely had a good time and can't wait until the next sale. Next time, we will bring help though now that we know what to expect.

David's 10th Birthday

Today was David's 10th birthday party. This was a great party. They had a space walk and a HUGE rock climbing wall. This was such a fun party, not just for the kids, but the adults as well. We were all very excited about climbing the rock wall. I must have taken over 300 pictures of everyone being silly on the wall. Out of everyone there though, Hailey probably had the best time. She was the second one up the wall and the last one off. She didn't stop climbing the entire time the wall was there. Elena went up a couple of times, well tried to go up. Her last time up, Barrett practically drug her all of the way up the mountain. Even Anthony, Jr. finally tried the wall. Everyone had a great time. Before the end of the day, Aunt Deedee even went up. I was so glad that everyone was not too afraid to try it. She is terrified of heights, but she went up. She would not let go and come down though, she climbed all of the way back down. Anyway, I just had to post about this party because it was so much fun.
