Maternity Leave Almost Over :(

Well it is official. I am almost finished with my maternity leave. That means I have already been home 5 weeks and my little boy is already a month old. I am not looking forward to going back to work. I have really been enjoying staying home. It is certainly going to be hard to leave Landon at daycare for the first time.
There is nothing new going on in our lives as of right now. Elena started taking dance lessons this week. She seems to really love going. I was afraid she wasn't going to pay attention to her teacher but she seemed to do just fine. Hopefully this is something she will stick with and love. She already does her gymnastics on the TumbleBus once a week and loves that.
Landon goes for his one month checkup on Monday. In case no one knows, he has a tongue tie which is where the frenulum under the tongue is connected more than it should be. We should find out at this appointment when and where we have to go to get it clipped. My mom says I had that as a newborn as well. The doctor says it is definitely hereditary. I just assume get it clipped now so he doesn't remember the pain later in life. I am not looking forward to that appointment. I will keep everyone posted there.
We leave Wednesday night for Disney World. The kids are all getting so excited. This will probably be our last trip for the year. Just me, moma, Krissy & the kids are going. We will definitely be outnumbered - 5 to 3. This just may NOT be our most fun trip yet. We will see. This will be where the minivan comes in handy.
Here are some more pics of Landon and Elena at the house. I will post more later.

Baby Pics

Welcome Baby Landon!!

Sorry it has been so long. Hurrican Gustav put a delay on posting. It is official. Baby Landon is here. He was born 08/26/2008 at 3:38pm. He weighs 6 lbs 2 oz. 17.5" long. He is a tiny little thing. We haven't decided who he looks like yet. He seems to change every day. Elena seems to be really taking well to him. She wants to help us do everything. As soon as Landon cries, she screams "He needs a bottle. Get a bottle." I guess she thinks that is the only way to fix the crying.
Delivery was fairly easy. Thank GOD for epidurals. I didn't feel a thing. The doctor had to tell me that I was even pushing. I didn't think I was helping in the delivery at all. Poor Landon though has had a quick entry into the world. He was shoved into this world and then two days later he has to pack up and evacuate for the storm. He travelled very well. He slept most of the trip. I think out of everyone, he travelled the best. We kept getting the crazy stares from people. You know the "I can't believe she is out with that new baby" stare. Landon just didn't have a choice. I couldn't possibly risk staying home with him.
Other than our eventful beginning, all has been well. He started out sleeping all day and waking every hour or so at night. I thought I would never get sleep. He is doing much better now though. It has been two nights of him only waking twice a night. I am glad we are finally getting into a routine that works for all of us.
Anyway, we are all doing very well. We are glad to be home and adjusting to being parents of a newborn. I will post again later with any updates and changes.
